The Seekho Sikhao Awards honour the pillars that hold up public education in Uttar Pradesh. Designed exclusively for UP. Evaluated through a rigorous, state-rooted process — and designed as the definitive Gold Standard in public education delivery, sending a clear signal that meritocracy matters in public service.
The day India pauses to honour the founding document that guaranteed every citizen the right to education. There is no more fitting day to announce the people who make that right real — in classrooms and panchayat halls across Uttar Pradesh. Winners will be honoured in a grand event in the presence of their peers and education dignitaries.

The Seekho Sikhao Awards recognise excellence across four categories, representing the complete chain of education delivery in Uttar Pradesh. When all four function in alignment, the promise of NIPUN Bharat becomes a daily reality for every child in the state.

Four winners and four runner-ups per category: one from each region of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh is too large and too diverse for a single state-level winner to represent it fairly. The Seekho Sikhao Awards are therefore structured so that excellence from every part of the state is recognised — with one winner selected per award category from each of UP’s four regions: Western UP, Central UP, Bundelkhand and Purvanchal.
The pinnacle recognition for girls’ education awarded to the teacher that best embodies the vision of an educated, empowered girl child across the state.
The Seekho Sikhao selection process is designed to be as educative as it is evaluative. Every stage, from first application to final jury, is structured to deepen the applicant’s own understanding of what excellence looks like, and to ensure that their impact has been thoroughly examined from multiple angles.
Every application must be submitted by the applicant himself but he must be validated by a peer, senior, or community member who has to nominate him. Self-nominations are not accepted.
The person nominating you will receive a verification email and must click the link provided to officially validate your application. Only verified applications will be considered.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to submit supporting documents such as identification, institutional certificates, or portfolios. You do not need to attach these at the time of application.
Yes. For shortlisted applicants, the Awards Management team will conduct an on-ground field visit to verify the information submitted and gain a deeper understanding of your contributions.
Yes. You can save your progress as a draft and log back into the portal anytime before the application deadline
